Keepers and automation
Mimic W1/W2 functions, authenticated executor contracts, and operational limits.
Current automation architecture
The current keeper repository contains two Mimic functions written in AssemblyScript. The earlier Chainlink CRE and Gelato implementations are retired. The former W4 freeze-watch workflow was removed; it is not a live monitoring service in this repository.
| Workflow | Off-chain function | On-chain target |
|---|---|---|
| W1 | mimic-functions/queue-keeper | QueueKeeperExecutor |
| W2 | mimic-functions/strategy-keeper | StrategyKeeperExecutor |
Both executors hold Registry KEEPER_ROLE. A Mimic smart account must separately be
allowed by each executor's caller allowlist to invoke perform. An empty caller allowlist
leaves an executor inert. ADMIN manages the allowlist and operational settings.
These are bounded automation workflows. They can act only through the executor functions described below.
W1: queue pricing and processing
W1 reads batch state and determines eligible queue work. Its payload identifies a batch and request-index range; it does not supply an authoritative ETH amount, price, or NAV. The executor and protocol re-derive settlement values from on-chain state.
The shared live-priced-batch cap is 25. Request processing is also bounded by
configured user limits and available liquidity. At the
dated deployment snapshot, minBatchAge() was 24 hours.
That age is measured from batch creation. A request that joins an older batch does not
restart it.
Once priced, a batch has a separate three-day processing window. Processing creates claimable ETH in AMM; the user still submits the claim transaction. Requests left unprocessed after the window expire; see The redemption queue.
W2: strategy operations
W2 relays StrategyKeeperExecutor's authoritative checker() execution payload.
The executor selects work in this order:
- Rebalance.
- Withdraw to meet a priced redemption shortfall.
- Provide immediate-exit liquidity to AMM when that feature is configured.
- Deposit excess Controller ETH.
- Harvest eligible performance fees.
- Synchronize strategy accounting.
The latest keeper source also suppresses repeated no-op rebalance attempts and applies per-action gas fee caps. These off-chain filters may defer work even when a contract view reports that work is possible.
At the snapshot, the Controller reserve target was 0.05 ETH, the minimum withdrawal
threshold was 0.0001 ETH, and exitLiquidityTargetETH() was 0. Automatic AMM float
top-up was therefore disabled; do not promise a permanently funded immediate-exit buffer.
Availability and operational checks
Execution depends on Mimic task availability and funding, the caller allowlist, RPC access, gas policy, pause flags, strategy capacity, feeds, and queue eligibility. A deployed executor or a healthy checker response does not prove uninterrupted task operation.
When a registered contract address changes, refresh the Mimic function inputs as specified in the cutover runbook. W1 carries configured protocol addresses, while W2 resolves the protocol through its executor's Registry.
