Privacy Notice

What Everstrat collects when you use the website, the app or these docs, why we collect it, who receives it, and how to have it deleted.

Last updated: 14 September 2026

This policy covers three websites: everstrat.xyz, app.everstrat.xyz and docs.everstrat.xyz.

It does not cover the Everstrat smart contracts themselves. Those run on a public blockchain, and no one can edit or delete what is written there. See Blockchain data below.

Testing phase — treat as a test protocol

Everstrat is deployed on Ethereum mainnet (chain id 1), but it is in a testing phase and should be treated as a test protocol. Entry is invite-gated and the software is experimental and unaudited. Do not deposit more than you can afford to lose entirely.

Who is responsible

These sites are operated by everstrat.xyz.

Privacy enquiries: ping@everstrat.xyz

If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

The short version

We collect very little, and most of it is optional.

  • Analytics load only if you accept them. Decline and nothing is sent.
  • We never send your wallet address to any analytics service.
  • The YouTube videos on the roadmap do not contact Google until you press play.
  • If you give us your email for launch updates, we keep the email. We do not keep your IP address.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 on all three sites to understand how people find the project and which parts of it they read.

Nothing is loaded from Google and no cookies are set until you press Accept on the consent banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are written and no analytics data is sent.

If you accept, Google Analytics receives:

  • the pages you visit and when
  • the website or campaign link that sent you, including any utm_ parameters
  • approximate location, derived from your IP address and no more precise than city level
  • device type, browser, operating system and screen size
  • a randomly generated identifier stored in the _ga cookies, which lets us tell a returning visitor from a new one
  • specific actions: opening the Everstrat app, playing a roadmap video, opening the docs, and following a link to X, Telegram or GitHub

Google discards your full IP address after deriving the approximate location. It is not stored in our reports and we never see it.

We do not send Google your wallet address, your email, or anything that identifies you personally. No page on either site puts a wallet address in its URL, so none can leak that way.

Google acts as our processor for this data. Google's own handling is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Launch updates email

If you enter your email address to be told when Everstrat launches, we store:

  • the address as you typed it, and a lower-cased copy used to prevent duplicates
  • the date and time you submitted it
  • a note that it came from the launch form
  • a one-way keyed hash of your IP address and of your browser's user agent string

The last point is worth being precise about. We do not store your IP address or your user agent. We store an HMAC-SHA256 hash of each, computed with a secret key held on the server. The hashes let us spot one source submitting hundreds of addresses. They cannot be reversed into an IP address, and we cannot use them to look you up.

When you submit the form, your email address is also posted to a private Telegram group used by the team, so that someone sees the signup. Telegram receives the address, the time and the signup source. Telegram's handling of that message is governed by the Telegram Privacy Policy.

We use this address for one thing: to tell you when Everstrat launches. We do not sell it, rent it, or add it to any other list.

Parts of app.everstrat.xyz are restricted while the project is in testing. If you enter the access password, we set a cookie named eve_team_access that lasts fourteen days.

The cookie holds an expiry timestamp, a random value and a signature. It contains no personal data, cannot be read by scripts on the page, and is only sent back to our own server.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard request logs including IP addresses, for security and to keep the sites running. We do not use these logs for analytics and do not combine them with anything else.

YouTube videos

The roadmap on everstrat.xyz shows monthly recap videos hosted on YouTube.

The video player is not loaded with the page. It is created only at the moment you press play. Until you do, your browser makes no request to YouTube or to any other Google service, whatever you chose on the consent banner.

Once you press play, YouTube receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, exactly as if you had opened the video on youtube.com. That is Google's processing, under the Google Privacy Policy.

Wallet connections

When you connect a wallet to app.everstrat.xyz, your wallet address becomes visible to the services the app needs to read the blockchain and submit your transaction:

ServiceWhat it receives
AlchemyYour address and the calls the app makes to read chain state
GoldskyQueries against the Everstrat subgraph
WalletConnectConnection data, if you connect through WalletConnect rather than a browser extension

We do not store your wallet address on our servers, and we do not link it to any email address or analytics record.

Blockchain data

Transactions you sign are written to the Ethereum mainnet blockchain. That record is public, permanent and outside anyone's control, including ours.

We cannot edit it, delete it, or make it private. This is a property of public blockchains rather than a choice we have made, and no request under any law can change it. Consider it carefully before transacting.

Cookies

CookieSet byPurposeLifetime
_ga, _ga_*Google AnalyticsDistinguishes visitors and sessions. Only set if you accept.Up to 2 years
eve_team_accessEverstratKeeps you signed in to the restricted app area14 days
Consent choiceEverstratRemembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we stop askingStored in your browser, until you clear it

The consent choice is kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, and never leaves your device.

The three sites are separate domains, so each asks you separately. Answering on one does not answer for the others.

Why we are allowed to do this

For readers in the EU and UK, our legal bases under the GDPR are:

WhatBasis
AnalyticsYour consent, which you may withdraw at any time
Launch updates emailYour consent, given by submitting the form
Abuse-prevention hashesLegitimate interest in keeping the signup form usable
Team access cookieStrictly necessary for a service you asked for
Server logsLegitimate interest in security and availability

How long we keep things

DataRetention
Launch updates emailUntil we send the launch announcement, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first
Abuse-prevention hashes12 months
Analytics14 months, after which Google deletes it
Team access cookie14 days
Server logsAs set by Vercel, currently 30 days

To stop analytics after accepting, clear your browser's site data for the site in question. The banner will appear again and you can decline.

Declining is remembered. We do not re-prompt people who have said no.

To have your email removed from the launch list, write to ping@everstrat.xyz from that address, or with it in the message. We will delete the record and confirm.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Similar rights apply in several other jurisdictions.

In practice the only personal data we hold that is tied to an identifiable person is an email address you gave us voluntarily. Write to ping@everstrat.xyz and we will act on your request within 30 days.

We cannot act on requests concerning blockchain data, for the reasons given above.

Who receives your data

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

These are every third party that receives any of it, and what each one gets:

RecipientWhat it receivesWhen
GoogleAnalytics events, approximate location, device and browser detailsOnly if you accept analytics
Google (YouTube)Your IP address and its own cookiesOnly if you press play on a roadmap video
TelegramYour email address, the time, and the signup sourceWhen you join the launch list
NeonStores the launch list databaseWhen you join the launch list
VercelHosts all three sites and records request logsEvery visit
AlchemyYour wallet address and the chain reads the app makesWhen you connect a wallet
GoldskySubgraph queries made by the appWhen you use the app
WalletConnectWallet connection dataOnly if you connect via WalletConnect

We may also disclose data where the law requires it. If that ever happens we will say so here unless we are forbidden from doing so.

Where your data goes

The sites are hosted by Vercel and run in its Frankfurt region. The database holding the launch list is operated by Neon. Both describe where the infrastructure runs, not where anyone is based.

Google, Telegram, Vercel, Alchemy, Goldsky and WalletConnect are all capable of processing data outside the EU, including in the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism offered by the provider.

Children

These sites are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is substantial, such as adding a new service that receives your data, we will say so on the site rather than relying on you to notice.
